JIVMNO MISIStiS, A Motor Lin Wanted-Newe of Th Neigh borhood. Mruxo, Oct. 1. The gontle rain lm made its apiarance, prcmimalily to linger ami stay with ti aix or non lonir dreary months. In a locality where one is situated hy a (tailing strram the parly rains bring a mn of salmon, bni we are somewhat htMielited by the rain and mud as it brinijs up the ideas in the minds of our veoile that a motor line is what we noet., and thus the fover be comes contagious and spreads in folds to suit the desire of the most fartidions, Nevertheless the time is rapidly neariug when we will have the pleasure of steii ping upon the platform of a motor car early in the morning and can by noon return from Oregon City with all the business transacted that now require one whole day to transact, besides the disagreeable ride or drive through the mud and rain. Many and various in dustries will arise along the line. A farmer having a tew eggs and some milk . and butter could take a trip to the city and return by noon wit ha loss of 50 cents fare, and then could engsge in his labors the remainder of the day. At the same time he would be saving the ware on a wagon, the feed naturally required for himself and team and could eventually dispense with one team entirely. Also this line will open up and give an outlet to some valuable farm land that could be divided ii.to small tracts where peo ple with a few dollars could settle and enjoy a cheap quiet home. No person can doubt the prosperity of such a line after it was once completed, for the sim ple fact is very plain to be seen that the line would have more business each and every year so long as ieople generate and still strive to rise in life instead of descending back to ancient life. The Enterprise should feel proud of the attentive and bright writers it now lias (not uie). I have been away in an other county where papers try to carry on the same system, but has no such correspondents as the Enterprise. Miss Belle Nash left Sunday to attend school in Oregon City. She intends to seek a quiet home witn Mrs. Giltett where bachelor's ball can he kept and no tim lost from study. Succest-Jto all such young laiies. C. T. Howard bkS graded down the hill at the bridge to a nice easy grade and will cover it with gravel soon. E.H.Cooper is building a nice little residence on his place and intends mov ing in as soon as completed. Penbrook brothers are preparing to add a new roof to their house, also new sills. I tornial Owing ta Jewish Holiday, the store of I. Selling will be closed Wednesday next, October JOth, until 6 o'clock. been iiuuces This is to certify that this day the firm of Shannon & Dickinson, laundry men, is dissolved by mutual consent. II.
