Several yean ago a young man In a small Ohio town conceived the Idea of adopting the theatrical profession. He did so and was very successful. He was engaged to marry a girl at his own home, and one June day when the flowers, the trees, and even the very air breathed of love, he came for her, but her parents, descendants of the grim old puritanic stock that burned poor helpless women at the stake through Ignorant superstition, refused to allow their daughter to marty an actor. They had nought against the man but would not brook his profession, and the same unpity ing relentlessness that steadied the torch in their forefathers' hands caus ed them to light the fires to funeral pyre of the young couple's hearts. But blooded and Impulsive the young man threw everything to the winds and took to drink; soon It had gained such a hold on him that he was unable to retain an engagement with a "com pany. The pace grew faster until one morning he awoke to find himself a tramp drifting about from place to place. He one day landed in a small Indiana town. There was a little rep ertoire company billed there. That night they were short an actor, so he dressed up and put on for the part. His first entrance brought him face to face with the leading lady, his old sweetheart. Around this, pretty story, Lawrence Russell has woven one of the cleverest plays In "A Millionaire Tramp" that has ever graced the stage and Elmer Walters' magnificent production of It makes the play a de lightful oasis in the desert of mod ern theatrical conventionalities. There is only one way to cure deaf ness, and that is by constitutional remedies. Deafness is caused by an inflamed condition of the mncops lining of the Eustachian tube. When this tube is inflamed you have a rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely closed deaf ness is the result, and unless the in flammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever; nine oases ont of ten are caused by catarrh, which is nothing but an in flamed condiition of the mucous sur faces.
