Eastman, a veteran railroad engineer of this city, died early Thurs day morning at Good Samaritan Hos pital, Portland, after an illness of two weeks, aged 75 years. Mr. Eastman was a pioneer resident of this city, and his family still re side here. He was one of the first en gineers to enter the service of the O. R. & N. Dies of Pneumonia. Mrs. Lizzie E. Smith died Saturday her residence in Falls View. Death was due to a severe attack of pneumonia. The runeral as held Monday from the residence under the auspices of the Knights and Ladies of Security, the service being conducted by Kov. John M. Linden of the Baptist church. Mrs. Smith was the wife of L. T.
