JOHN H. STEVENSON, Attorney for Plaintiff. F. M. Gill's Opinion On County High School. To the Editor: Notwithstanding many of my friends are deeply interested in the estab lishment of a county high school, I feel that it is my duty to oppose it. In comparison to the benefit derived from the high school, the farmer re siding more than eight miles from the high school will pay three times more than his share of the taxes. Now, if as the advocates of the county high school are promising, there is estab lished two county high schools, one in Oregon City and one somewhere else, the high school established in the rural parts would benefit only about 8 to 10 school districts, so that this part of the proposition is merely a blind. Ou. county is so divided by creeks, rivers and hills that It is impossible to put one high school in the rural parts of the county ,in such a position that jt will benefit more than one fifth of the tax payers of the rural sec tions. I favor union high schools and am opposed to the county high school proposition. Oregon City and the con. tiguous districts ought to have a good union high school. We of Estacada, want a good union high school at Es tacada and we would be cutting off our own noses to vote for a county high school. There ought to be a union high school at Sandy; Logan, Damascus, Highland, Molalla, Canby and Esta cada, and If we vote for a county high school, the time when we will be able to secure these schools will be put oft several years. Oregon City and the contiguous dis tricts are able to build and maintain their own high school without begging charity taxes of the farmer. F. M. GILL. Estacada, Oregon., April 27. Biliousness and Constipation. For years I was troubled with bil iousness and constipation, which made life miserable for me. My appetite failed me. I lost my usual force and vitality. Pepsin preparations and ca. thartics only made matters worse. I do not know where I should have been today had I not tried Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets. The tab lets relieve the ill feeling at once, strengthen the digestive functions, purify the stomach, liver and blood, helping the system to do its work nat urally. Mrs. Rosa Potts, Birming ham, Ala.
