Highland. Lunce and Tom Shockley have rent ed the Dunlap place. Mrs. Chas. Robinson of Oregon City visited a few days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mayfield. School District No. Ill held a very interesting meeting last Monday. There was no blood shed or hair pull ing, but it looked for a while like both would be done. The meeting was called to change the site for the school house. Of course, there was two sides to the question, and a lively time was had for a while, but the site was changed by a majority of two votes. It is too bad we can't all have a school house near our door. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stevens spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week In Oregon City. Mr. Pollock was taken to Portland last Sunday where he will be under the care of Dr. Hickman. We hope the change will be for the better. Mrs. Jessie Mayfield wears a verv happy smile now and it's all because of her new sewing machine. Miss Nettie Miller, who finished a course of studies at the Portland Busi ness College last month, has accepted Sprlngwater. The sprlngwater Crange, No. 203, met and had an .
