resigned. Since the new administra
tion has come into power it has
planked the streets of tho town and
has not put the town any further into
debt. They have refused to pay the
interest on the $10,000 water bonds,
on the ground that the town could not
be legally bonded' for so large a sum,
as Its assessed valuation is only Jl'J,
