i r s; '.":'Va-i'.v.7... - GENERAL VTJUTY WHERE is the housekeeper who does not appreciate the com fort and convenience of a good work apron that covers the entire dress? Two excellent designs are here illus trated, one a neat and practical garment of striped gingham. It requires but little time to make, and its laundering possibilities are apparent. The skirt reaches to the lower edge of the dress and protects the sides and back of the skirt as well as the front It is gathered at the top and attached to the belt. The bib comes up well over the front of the waist and extends out over the shoulders in a becoming manner. Holland gingham, percale, denim, linen and sateen are suitable. The medium size will re quire 3$ yards of 36 inch material. ' Ladies' Work Apron No. 570?. Sizes for small, medium and large. The other design represents a practical apron of generous size and is well adapted to the various household occupations that re quire a complete coveting for the dress. It is also. available at an artist's apron. It is simply shaped by shoulder and under-arm seams, and is fastened in the back by a button and buttonhole. Jt hangs from a narrow yoke almost to the lower edge of the skirt, and is finished by a hem. The front and back is connected by narrow shoulder straps. A generous sized pocket adds to its usefulness. The medium size will require 4J4 yards of 36 inch material for the apron, and Y yard for the cap. Ladies' Apron and Dusting Cap No. SS98. Sizes for small, medium and large. Marquisette is being used by Paris dressmakers for some of their handsomest productions. The waist here illustrated, one of the newest, may be tucked or gathered across the front, and the sleeves may be in elbow length or extend to the wrist when they are finished by deep close fitting cuffs. A trimming band of silk outlines the low round neck and is arranged over the should ers, caught down in front and back by three small silk covered buttons. The under-blouse cf figured cream colored net has short elbow sleeves, finished by tiny frills of lace. To be abso Jutcly cgrrect the skirt must fit the figure closely about the hips. The one shown is one of the newest circular models. It is made with a double inverted box-pleat in the centre front, the pleats being stitched down flat. It will serve nicely as part of a cos tume or as a separate skirt to be worn with odd waists. All the seasonable materials are suitable. For 36 inch bust measure 2 yards of 44 inch material will be required for the waist and 4Ji yards for the skirt Ladies' Blouse No. 5707. Sizes for 32, 34, 36, 38, 40 and 42 inches bust measure. Ladies' Circular Skirt No. 5771. Sizes for 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 inches waist measure. An under-blouse of white dotted net shows daintily through the openings that extend from shoulder to waistline in front and back of the pvcr-blouse shown. Straps of the material extend across the openings and sleeves caps and, form the only decora- tion. A stunning model for a black taffeta. Dresden ribbons may be used with good effect. The skirt is in four gores and laid in an inverted box-pleat in front and back, and at each side. Th? pleats are stitched fiat in the upper part giving a close adjustment at the hips, and the lower edge allows of being cut in round, short round and instep length. Taffeta, pongee, rajah, louisine and veiling are all suitable. For 36 inches bust measure t$i yards of 44 inch material will be required for the waist and S yards for the skirt.
