The Spiritualist campmeeting at New Era begins July 5th and holds till July 21st. Rev. W. E. Copeland, of Burley, Wash., will lecture on the opening Sun day at 10 a. m. W. C. Hayward's Sunday school class will give a reception at hit home on Mo lalla Avenue, near Seventh St., Friday, June 20. Strawberries and cake will be served. Children especially invited. Several members of the Mothers' Club held a picnic on the Tualatin river, near illamette Falls, Wednesday, where they spent the greater part of the day. The Ahmoteh Fiesta given at Rose Farm Friday evening by the King's Daughters of the Episcopal church, was a very delightful function. A large number of persons went out to the farm 1 to spend a delightful evpning. On the afternoon of June 16th occur red a quiet wedding at the family resi dence of John Schaffer cn Clacicamas Heights. Miss Agatha Scheidermeier, Mrs. Schaffer's sister, of Minneapolis, was married to P. T. Morey, a promi nent capitalist, of Belton, Texas. The biide was becomingly attired in pearl gray, with trimmings of white chiffon and lace. A sumptuous repast was served, after which the happy couple went to Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Morey will spend a month or more in visiting points of i.iterest on the coast and see ing sights in Colorado, from whence they will go to their future home in Belton, Texas.
