Of- ficers and medical personnel ar- rived and located the male victim suffering from traumatic injuries. Medical personnel were unable to save the man and he died at the scene. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Gerardo Granados-Marin. The Medical Examiner determined that he suf- fered multiple sharp force injuries and ruled his death a homicide. ---------------------------------------- THREE ARRESTED, THREE GUNS SEIZED News Release Portland Police Bureau Posted October 5th, 2015 5:22 PM On Saturday October 3, 2015, at 5:39 p.m., Gang Enforcement Team (GET) and Transit Police Division officers were patrolling the area of Woodlawn Park in Northeast Portland when they contacted the occupants of a car parked at Northeast Claremont Avenue and Dekum Street. As of- ficers were walking up to the car they heard the sound of metal hit- ting the sidewalk. Concerned that someone in the car dropped a gun out of the vehicle; officers took cover and ordered the occupants out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Three young men exited the ve- hicle and were taken into custody without incident. During a search, one of the men (18-year-old Le- ontrell Robert Mitchell) had a gun in his possession. Officers then approached the vehicle and noted two handguns lying outside the passenger side door. 18-year-old Marshall Charles Richmond Jr. was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Pos- session of a Loaded Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Fire- arm. 18-year-old Timothy Wayne Wilson was booked into the Mult- nomah County Jail on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm (two counts), Unlawful Posses- sion of a Firearm (two counts), and Possession of a Loaded Fire- arm (two counts). Mitchell was booked into the Multnomah Coun- ty Jail on charges of Unlawful Pos- session of a Firearm and Posses- sion of a Loaded Firearm. ----------------------------------------- SHOOTING AT GANG-RE- LATED PARTY ON HAYDEN ISLAND - TWO GUNSHOT VICTIMS News Release from Portland Police Bureau Posted October 4th, 2015 9:19 AM On Sunday October 4, 2015, at 12:08 a.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to the report of a shooting with multiple victims at the Red Lion Jantzen Beach Ho- tel, located at 909 North Hayden Island Drive. Two victims were injured. Both female victims were transported to Portland hospitals for treatment and are expected to survive. The suspect or suspects fired multiple rounds from outside the hotel, striking the building nu- merous times. Five hotel rooms were determined to be part of the crime scene. Preliminary informa- tion indicates that there was a large group of gang members and asso- ciates at the hotel for a party. The suspect was outside the hotel and fired several shots before fleeing Business and Service Directory the area. Several vehicles left the scene but at this time there is no specific suspect information. Of- ficers have received unconfirmed information of additional victims that may have left the scene. Of- ficers entered the hotel and found evidence of a shooting and several rooms impacted by gunfire. Ad- ditional officers from Central and East Precincts, as well as the Air Support Unit responded to assist with the investigation. The Tactical Operations Divi- sion is continuing to investigate several incidents of gun violence citywide. Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or You- Tube should be shared with inves- tigators as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire, including damage to an apartment building and a parked vehicle. Nu- merous witnesses reported hear- ing multiple gunshots and hearing cars speed out of the area. Based on information learned at the scene, GET officers assumed con- trol of the investigation. The Tactical Opera- tions Division is continuing to in- vestigate several incidents of gun violence citywide. ----------------------------------------- CHILD STRUCK ON NORTH LOMBARD STREET News Release from Portland Police Bureau Posted October 2nd, 2015 12:13 PM On Friday October 2, 2015, at 8:24 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a child struck by a driver in a vehicle in the 3200 block of North Lombard Street. Officers and medical per- sonnel arrived and began treat- ing the child, estimated to be an 11-year-old girl. The child was been transported to a Portland hos- pital with traumatic injuries. The involved driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with in- vestigators. The Traffic Division’s Major Crash Team is responding to conduct an investigation. The injured child remains at a Portland hospital and is expected to survive her injuries. Investiga- tors learned that the child got off of an eastbound TriMet bus and ran northbound across Lombard where she was hit by a westbound driver who was unable to stop in time. No citations have been is- sued and the case remains under investigation.
