Stewart states that a charter has been applied for to organize a central Amer ican Legion Post, composed of St. Johns, Woodlawn, Kenton and Alberta distr cts with head quarters centrally located some where near the Jefferson high school. Mr. Stewart's phone is 32809. Mrs.Theres Edlefsen, wife of P. H. Edlefsen, died at her home, 1849 Willamette boulevard Wednesday, November 30th, af ter an illness of sometime. She was aged 51 years. The deceased was a cood woman in every sense of the word, and took great delight in doing kindly acts. She will be missed by a large circle of friends as well as by members of the family. Be sides her husband she is sur vived by one daughter. Mrs. S. H. Graf, of Corvallis, and two sisters residing in Kansas. the funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2:30 p. m. at Finley's Mortuary, Montgom ery and Fifth streets. Conclud ing services will be held at Port-, land Crematorium Mausoleum, Progress is steadily being made on new M. K. church building.
