    The Old Swimming Hole
Is there a man so dead who nev
er to himself has said, in deepest
raptures of his soul: "Me to the
dear old swimming hole?" Then
with a whistle to the lad on the
street, and two fingers raised, for
the place to meet, with eyes that
sparkle like a living coal, sneak away
two lads to the old swimming hole.
Oh the old winiming hole denrest
home of the soul through the hot
summer days, is the old swimming
hole.
"Oh, the old swimming hole in
the long, hazy days, when the hum
drum of school made so many run
aways; how pleasant was the jour
ney down the old dusty lnnc, where
the track of our bare feet was nil
planted so plain; you could tell by
the dents of the heel and the sole,
there was lots of fun on hands in
tlie old swimming hole." A boy
of'Gt.

We would not trick you in a per
sonal transaction,
We would not be discourteous if
we met you socially, so on the
other hand, we aim to advertise
facts and facts only.
We sell on the "satisfaction or
your money back basis, "to keep
our store-courtesy up to our
social standard.
So when we advertise such lines
Cogan's Shoes for Women
and Children,
Fithian Barker Shoes for Men,
Bradley Metcalf Shoes for Men,
Pink's Detroit Special Overalls,
B. V. D. Underwear for Men,
Ladies Home Journal Patterns,
Arrowhead Hosiery,
Last-for-ever Hosiery,
Burson Hosiery,
We are willing to let our patrons
Judge as to the merits of the
several lines we carry.
And in answer to inquiries, as to
the why we are able to sell cer
tain lines so much cheaper than
the other stores, we simply say,
"We are out of the High Rent
District and own our own build

to pay, consequently we are
able to give our customers the
advantage of this saving.
