Has both gas and electricity, finest quality. Has two strong banking institutions. Has five large school houses. Has an abundance of purest water. Has hard surface streets and cement walks. Has extensive sewerage system. Has large public dock and fine city hall. Has payroll of over .$80,000 per month. Ships 2,000 cars of freight monthly. All transcontinental railroads reach it. Is the gateway to the Portland harbor. Has many brick business houses. Taxes lower than Portland by 1.5 mills. Climate is ideal and healthful. Thunder and lightning almost unknown. Zero weather would be a curiosity. Is distinctively a manufacturing center. Adjoins the great city of Portland. The longer one stays the better he likes it. Has 5,000 population and no cemetery. Is practically only eight years old.
