from Ivanhoe street to the river.
The petition was adopted.
On motion of Aid. King, pcrmis
ion was granted the residents of
Chicago street between Modoc street
nnd Portland boulevard to have a
ten-foot curb if the prowr waivers
can be secured.

Two scrub base ball clubs from
Portland took part in the games on
Sunday. The woolen mills team
took care of one in the morning and
won without half trying by a score
21 to 4. It was a loosely played
affair and did not arouse as much
enthusiasm as a couple clubs of ten-
