Bye Bennett was a passenger on the Bear Creek stage last week en route to Prineville. Services were held at the Camp Creek school house last Tuesday and a Sunday school was organized. Mrs. Maggie Demaris was elected super intendent, Mrs. Hurley Senders, assistant, Ray Morgan secretary and Abe Hackelman, deputy. Earnest Smith and Miss Burton were visiting Mrs. M. E. Bennett and Mrs. Ira Cox last week. Hardy sold nine large hogs to a Bend butcher last Friday for 15 cents per pound. The Alfalfa crop is coming tine and haying will begin about the 10th of July. The Development Club meets at the school house next Monday even ing. About half of the people at Al talfa spent Sunday along the banks of the Deschutes. Grimes made a trip to the Prairie last week and took out a couple of horses for L. N. Nichols. Jennie M. Hagenburger returned to Meadow June 22, after a six weeks' visit with her parents in Portland. Harry F. Kimble, postmaster at Meadow, made a trip to Prineville last week and purchased a Buick six. B. L. Disbro has returned to Portland after spending about two months on his place at Meadow. Mrs. Dude Chambers and Mrs. Dow spent -a few days at Mountain View Meadows, in Summit Prairie, M. R. Biggs was a visitor in meadow several days last week. E. L. Kimble has purchased a "bug."
