China Pheasants
For Crook County
There has been a total of 85 China
pheasants liberated in Crook County
between the Tom Sharp ranch on
Crooked River and Paulina recently.
These birds are furnished free by
the ftate, and placed in localities
where it is thought they will thrive
and become abundant in a short
time.
At present there is a penalty fix
ed by the state at $50 for anyone
convicted of the trime of killing one
of these birds. The county has plac
ed a standing reward of $25 for
such conviction also.
Aside from the legal status of the
matter, it is hoped that the people
will assist in protecting these birds
until they get a start here.

last week were quite satisfactory to
the players from the Hub city.
J. W. Moore of that place was the
winner of the championship cup,
and J. F. Hosch took the runner up
cup.

1, 1914 and August 1, 1U13 we would share profits with the re
tail purchasers, to the extent of from 1-10 to (0 on each car.

profit-sharing checks of 50 each will be distributed as rapidly
as possible after August 15, 1915. Retail purchasers who have
not yet mailed us their profit-sharing coupons, properly en
dorsed, should do so without delay.
Our plan to profit share with retsil purchasers of Ford cars
during 1914-15 has been most successful, we thoroughly be
lieve in It, but, realizing the uncertainty of conditions general
ly makes It advisable to defer any announcement of future profit-sharing
until a later date.
