CRCOK COUNTY JOURNAL The City J. C. Farnham of Redmond was in the city Sunday. Andrew Morrow was in Frineville from Grizzly last Saturday. E. J. Rodgers of Bend was in Prineville the last of the week. Mrs. Wurzweiler is visiting friends in Prineville this week. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Laughlin were in Prineville the last of the week. Workmen are busy today laying a new floor on the Main street bridge P. R. Barnhouse of Mitchell was a buisness visitor the last of the week. - Miss Viola Freil, who has been visting in and near Prineville for gome time, returned to her home at Cherryville, Oregon, last Tuesday. Henry Brummer is in Prineville from his ranch near Tost. Ben Burehtorf was in the city Tuesday on business. Chas. Houston was in the city from Roberts yesterday evening. Jack Weigand of Lnmonta left for San Francisco the first of the week. Geo. Russell returned the first of the week from a trip to Belknap Springs. . Dan Burris and David Williams of Suplee were in the city last week on business. Lex. Long visited with friends in Madras front Friday until Monday afternoon. Chas. L. BushneJI and Bessie Ag nes Cates of Roberts were married on October 14, in this city. Donald J. Ross and Gertrude Strichler of Held were married yos terday'in this city. Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Labenz and Raginc An derson of Imperial the first of the week. M. E. Rockeyfeller died in this city on Sunday morning, and the funeral was held on Tuesday after noon at 2:30. W. P. Davidson of St. Paul, who has large land interest in this part of the state, was in Prineville on business the last of the week. Mrs. Bonz Wineberger of Mead ows passed through this city on Tuesday on her way to Ashland were she will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wright. There will not be the regular ser vices at the Catholic church next Sunday. Instead, services will be held a week from Sunday, October 31, at 8:30 A. M. J. W. Nye and family arrived from Foster last Monday evening and will spend a month with Mr. Nye's two brothers, M. D., and G. H., who live on Bear Creek. The Methodist and Presbyterian churches will unite on Sunday at 7:30 to welcome Rev. Van Nuys as the new pastor of the Presbyterian Church. The subject at the morning ser mon at the Methodist church on Sunday will be " Infant Baptism." Sunday School at 10:00 'A. M. Ep worth League at 6:30 P. M. Professor V. A. Cooper concluded a series of lectures at the Methodist church in this city Tuesday evening. He drew good audiences, and was enjoyed by everyone who heard him. There will be a basket dinner at the Baptist church next Sunday at noon.J Everyone come and bring a basket; if you have no basket, come' anyhow. Miss Maude Potter who has just finished a five months term of school at Summit Prairie passed through Prineville Tuesday on her way to western Washington, where she will attend Normal school this winter, A series of Revival meetings will be conducted at the Grimes Chapel beginning on Monday October 25. The pastor will be assisted by the Rev. W. F. Keagy of Bend. There will be special music. Rev. Keagy is a strong, forceful and attractive preacher.
