County's Finances
Are in Good Shape
Judge Ellis thus suiuuiarlies briefly
the financial condition of Crook
county:
The countr road fund, general
school fund, county high school fund
nnd library fund each have small bal
ances on hand.
' The general county fund is in good
condition considering the fact that
the new county courthouse Is en
tirely paid for.
However, the general running ex
penses of the county and the fall
payment of the state tax (about
fSOOO) have necessitated registering
warrants to the amount of about
f 13,000. Scalp bounty warrants to
the amount of about $W0 have also
been registered.
The payment for the furniture and
vault fixtures amounting to about
$ 4300 comes due in 1910.
.. Crook County's proportion of the
state tax this year is f 17,454.34. The!
following summary shows the
amount that must be raised for the
general fund:
State Tax $17,454 34
