Glencoe hands McNary their first loss
After starting the season with three straight wins, the McNary boys soccer team
fell to unbeaten Glencoe on Tuesday, Sept. 14 by a score of 5-3 — it was the most goals
McNary has surrendered since 2016.
Glencoe led 2-1 at the half, but McNary tied the game up thanks to a beautiful goal
from Hudson Brunk in the 53rd minute.
However, Glencoe responded with three goals over an 18-minute stretch to take
the commanding 5-2 lead.
McNary got a late goal from Axel Zapien to make the score more respectable.
A: Hudson Brunk (11) prevents a Glencoe player from dribbling into the midfield.
B: Jorge Ruiz (9) battles for possession.
C: Johnny Bravo tracks down the ball before it goes out-of-bounds.
