After donations are dropped off at McNary, Whiteaker and Claggett Creek schools, counselors deliver items to students’ homes. The foundation is asking the community to donate. “As you would expect, the needs are high for our Keizer Kids,” said the organization’s Facebook page. Rather than random donations, specifi c items for specifi c schools are being solicited. The pandemic and current economic conditions have increased the need over last year. The Klosets are stocked with donations from the Keizer Community Foundation and members of the community. Counselors at the schools help students in need to ‘shop’ the Kloset for food and clothes.
