There is noth- ing more appealing than the thought of sleeping in and tak- ing it easy for three months, that is until you actually have to take it easy of course. Once you’re sitting at home for eight hours with nothing to do and no one to talk to life gets pretty boring. Summer camps are a fun way to get some energy out and make new friends. JULY 1–3 Story Book Early Riser Camp (Boys & Girls Club) – Fun pro- grams exploring topics such as the arts, science, exploration, sports, fi tness and more. JULY 1–5 America Games Camp Gre- ider (YMCA) – Celebrate Amer- ica the week of July 4. Superhero Academy Kinder Camp (Kroc) – Tap into your powers and train to be super- heroes. Mad Science Adventure Camp (Kroc) – Harness your curiosity about science and combine it with high–energy ac- tivities to keep campers moving. Ultimate Sports Adventure Camp (Kroc) – Get to know dif- ferent sports by participating in skill drills and games. Amazing Race Extreme Camp (Kroc) – Competitive scavenger hunts, puzzles and brainteasers. JULY 7–13, JULY 21–27, JULY 28-31 (SHORT SESSION) Camp Silver Creek (YMCA) – From the early–morning Polar Bear Club to campfi re, campers are en- gaged in activi- ties that are fun, challenging, and memorable. JULY 8–12 Pirates! C a m p Greider ( Y M C A ) – Swim- ming, ar- chery, hik- ing, boating, pirate themed camp games, and an oppor- tunity to dress up for the theme of the week. Great Outdoors Early Riser Camp (Boys & Girls Club) – Fun programs exploring topics such as the arts, science, exploration, sports & fi tness and more. Jr. Sports Week Kinder Camp (Kroc) – an active week of getting to try out diff erent sports. Jungle Safari Kinder Camp (Kroc) – featuring animals, jun- gles and safari adventures. Toy Story Kinder Camp (Kroc) – hangout with Woody, Buzz and the whole gang, as campers enjoy toy story themed crafts and games throughout the week. Sweet Treats Kinder Camp (Kroc) – a week of bak- ing, mixing, decorating, and most im- portantly tasting some delicious treats. CSI Ad- venture C a m p (Kroc) – investigate fingerprint- ing, fo- re n s i c s , and gen- eral law e n fo rc e - ment. Donut Adventure Camp (Kroc) – explore various ways to make and decorate donuts. Dodgeball Extreme Camp (Kroc) – an entire week play- ing dodgeball, but also learning new spins on this classic gym game. JULY 22–26 Winter in July Camp Greider (YMCA) – Swimming, archery, hiking, boating, winter in July themed camp games, and an opportunity to dress up for the theme of the week. Sea Early Riser Camp (Boys & Girls Club) – Fun programs ex- ploring topics such as the arts, science, exploration, sports & fi tness and more. Swim Adventure Camp (Kroc) – swimming, rock climb- ing, traditional sports, arts & crafts, team–building & recess games, video games in the game room and more. Cupcake Wars Ex- treme Camp (Kroc) – Their job is to create the most unique looking cup- cake as well as a dis- play board to go along with the theme of that week.
