PAGE A6, KEIZERTIMES, SEPTEMBER 29, 2017 police scanner Man cuffed for trespassing, meth in vacant home A transient man was ar- rested for trespassing and pos- session of methamphetamine when neighbors spotted him entering a vacant home Friday, Sept. 25. Keizer Police Department was contacted when wit- nesses spotted a male entering a home in the 1100 block of Swingwood Court Northeast. The owners of the home were known to be out of town and the house had a “For Sale” sign out front. The witnesses contacted the daughter of one of the owners who called po- lice. Offi cer Jeremy Fletcher responded and entered the home through the back door and arrested Eddie Angel Teves, 35, for trespassing and possession of a methamphet- amine. Fletcher reported there was garbage strewn throughout the home including hypoder- mic needles, baggies for pack- aging controlled substances and other personal belongings of trespassers. Teves told police other homeless men had also been using the house. After receiving consent to search Teves’ backpack, Fletch- er found a sandwich bag that tested positive for metham- phetamine with a fi eld test. Teves was taken to the Marion County Correctional Facility where he was charged with fi rst-degree trespass and possession of methamphet- amine. He was arraigned in court Tuesday, Sept. 26.
