Keizer cop on chase
On Friday, Aug. 25, Keizer
Offi cer Esteban Perez at-

Two women were arrested
after trying to pass fake $100
bills at two Keizer businesses
during the eclipse on Aug. 21.
The incidents were re-
ported about 11 a.m. at Revis
Keizer Automotive and B&S

used a fake bill to purchase $30
in Lottery tickets at B&S. She
received $70 in change and the

to suspect the bill was fake.
The clerk confronted the
woman in the parking lot
and demanded the tickets
and change back. The woman
complied and was given back
the fake $100 bill.
The suspect left the area on
foot and was found by police
trespassing through the back-
yard of a home on Mistletoe
Loop N. while attempting to
reach the Courthouse Athletic
Club parking lot. Kannita Ma-

turned into Parkway Village
Apartments, Perez waited at

the suspect fl ee on foot.
Offi cer Scott Keniston lo-

the McDonalds on Broadway
and took him into custody af-
ter pointing his Taser at him. A
fi rearm was found inside the
vehicle.
