59-year-old arrested for meth delivery
A man suspected of driving
while revoked locked himself
inside his car and refused to
engage with Keizer police of-
fi cers during a traffi c stop.
Offi cers eventually shat-
tered one of the car windows
to place the man under arrest.
The incident began about
2:30 a.m. June 21 when Of-
fi cer Esteban Perez observed a
2000 Chevrolet Malibu alleg-
edly driven by Brian Richard
Beesley, 59, on River Road
North. Beesley’s license had
been revoked after repeated
DUIIs and felony convictions
on drug-related charges.
Perez initiated a traffi c stop
and waited for additional of-
fi cers to arrive on the scene.
The suspect refused to leave
his vehicle and locked him-
self inside before offi cers ap-
proached.
After the driver’s side win-
dow was broken, the door was
opened and the suspect was
pulled to the ground where
he continued to resist arrest.
Once he was cuffed, investi-
gating offi cers found the sus-
pect in possession of meth-
amphetamine packaged for
delivery.
Beesley is charged with
driving while suspended (fel-
ony revoked), resisting arrest,
unlawful possession of meth-
amphetamine and unlawful
delivery of methamphetamine.
