PAGE A6, KEIZERTIMES, DECEMBER 16, 2016 police scanner Man charged with assault in domestic disturbance Keizer police arrested a man after he allegedly men- aced and assaulted his girl- friend on Tuesday Dec. 6. Keizer Police Department offi cers were summoned to the 1400 block of Golden Lane North at 9:16 p.m. on the report of a fi ght between a man and woman. They found the woman still at the address when they arrived, but the man had departed. During the investigation, offi cers developed probable cause that the man had men- aced and assaulted his girl- friend. They suspected the victim had a broken arm, but that was found not to be the case after a visit to Salem Health. The suspect was identifi ed as Jeffrey Ray Kellogg, 31, of Keizer. He was later found at another Keizer location and arrested without incident. He was taken to the Mar- ion County Correctional Fa- cility where he was charged with fourth-degree assault, taining methamphetamine and a spring-loaded pocket knife. The man gave a false name to offi cers who learned his true identity after fi nger- prints positively identifi ed him the following day. Christopher Neal Ash, 47, of Clackamas, was taken to the Marion County Correctional Facility upon his arrest. Drunk driver found slumped over wheel On Sunday, Dec. 11, Keiz- er police responded to the 2000 block of Allendale Way Northeast to investigate an il- legally parked vehicle. The responding offi cer found a black 1997 Audi parked in the roadway block- ing several driveways and a man slumped over the steer- ing wheel. Police allege that the Audi struck at least two cars in the neighborhood be- fore coming to a stop. The driver, 23-year-old Se- bastian Reyes, of Salem, was charged with driving under the infl uence of intoxicants physical harassment and inter- fering with making a police report. Offi cers were called to the store when an employee re- ported the man was at the cus- tomer service counter trying to return possible stolen prop- erty. The employee told offi - cers the man had twice previ- ously stolen items from Lowe’s and then returned them for cash without a receipt and wanted to pursue trespassing charges this time around. Offi cers made contact with the suspect and found him in possession of a glass pipe con- and criminal mischief.
