awarded a contract to replace
water mains on several Keizer
streets at the City Council
meeting Monday, Dec. 5.
Replacement water mains
are slated for Ivy Way North-
east, Thorman Avenue North-
east, Lawless Street Northeast,
Lowell Avenue Northeast and
Arnold Street Northeast. The
project includes the replace-
ment of approximately 3,740
equitable for all groups con-

the same thing to other organi-
zations should they come and
ask us.”
Councilor Amy Ryan deliv-

she didn’t receive any additional
information from staff or the
Chamber to change her mind.
The Chamber also requested
$4,000 for police staffi ng but
was unanimously denied at the
Nov. 21 meeting. That money
would come out of the general
fund. The city council did waive
$180 to cover the costs of pa-
rade coverage on Keizer’s public
access cable channel, Keizer 23.
The parade is Saturday, Dec.
10 at 7 p.m.
feet of water main.
A total of nine bids were
received and opened in No-
vember. The bids ranged from
a high of $420,515 to a low of
$325,080. Trench Line sub-
mitted the lowest bid.
The project will be paid
with money from a dedicat-
