If you have any questions, please contact the Salem Hospital Foundation offi ce at 503-561- 5576. anniversary Keizer couple Laurel Marie and Forrest Milton Wells cel- ebrated their 50th anniversary Saturday, March 19. Laurel Raycraft and Forrest Wells met Nov. 22, 1963, the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. They married on March 19, 1966, at Ashbury United Methodist Church in Hood River. Laurel, a graduate of the Oregon College of Education, now Western Oregon University, spent her career as a teacher. For- rest, a graduate of the Merritt Davis School of Commerce, was head bookkeeper at Pumilite Block Company. The couple has three sons, Trevor, Tyler and Trent Wells. Tyler is married to Alana Patterson Wells and they have three children, Andra, Ella and Kianna. They plan on celebrating the milestone by taking two trips, one to Arizona for baseball’s spring training and the other to Hawaii. College money for Keizer students Applications are now avail- able for the 2016 Keizer Her- itage Foundation scholarships. The Foundation will award the $1,000 Pearl Langeland Memorial Scholarship, which honors the longtime Keizer teacher and Keizer Heri- tage board member. Another scholarship of $1,000, or two of $500 each, will also be awarded. The scholarships are avail- able to current year high school graduates who have lived in Keizer for the past fi ve years or more and who plan to attend a four-year or two-year college or vocation- al school within one calendar year of award selection. The Keizer Heritage Foun- dation owns and operates the Keizer Heritage Center. Applications are also avail- able for three vocational/ trade scholarships from Mak- ing Keizer Better Foundation. Each scholarship awards $1,000 for continuing educa- tion in a trade or vocation. The Making Keizer Better and the Jan Cline Memorial Scholarships are for students who plan to continue educa- tion in electrical, plumbing or one of the recognized trades which can include cosmetol- ogy. The Jerry Bigler Memorial Scholarship is for a student who will continue education in the automotive fi eld. The scholarships are un- limited and require tran- scripts, letters of recom- mendation and several essay questions. A high grade point average is not necessary; fi - nancial need will be consid- ered. Applications are avail- able at McNary High School and Making Keizer Better Foundation.
