Auditioners should bring a resume and prepare a mono- logue that is no more than two minutes long. Monologues can be provided at auditions. Hopefuls will have a chance to let producers know which show, or shows, they are in- terested in, so please consider that in choosing monologues. Rehearsal periods will be approximately fi ve weeks pri- or to the show dates listed. Ex- act rehearsal schedules will be determined by the directors. A detailed character list can be found on KHT’s website www.keizerhomegrownthe- atre.org. Always Patsy Cline is based on a true story. The revue tells the true story of the country music legend’s unlikely friend- ship with a fan, cemented by years of letter-writing. Veteran performers Taylor Pawley and Carolyn Johnson will bring this remarkable story to life. This is a reprise performance, so all roles are currently fi lled. Time Stands Still (cast of four) by Donald Marguelies focuses on Sarah and James, a photojournalist and a foreign cor- re s p o n d e n t trying to fi nd hap- piness in a world t h a t seems to have lost all moral bear- ings in the midst of war and its complications. Theirs is a partnership based on telling the toughest stories, and together, making a dif- ference. But when their own story takes a sudden turn, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more con- ventional life. The director is Taylor Pawley, e-mail: taylor. pawley@gmail.com. Drop Dead! (cast of 10) by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore is about a cast of has- been actors hoping to stage a comeback in their careers in Drop Dead!, a murder mystery directed by eccentric director Victor LePewe. As the show progresses, the mystery and murder extend to life beyond the stage, and these ac- tors must save their lives in addition to the show and their career s. The real director of the show is Molly Fitzsim- mons - e-mail: mmfi tzsim@hotmail.com. In William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (cast of 14 plus miscellaneous pirates), Viola, a youg noblewoman and her twin brother, Sebastian, are shipwrecked and separated. Washing ashore to an island kingdom, Viola disguises her- self as a young man and calls herself Cesario. She fi nds work in the household of Count Orsino who makes her his page and sends her to deliver love messages to Lady Olivia, but Olivia falls in love with Cesario who is really Viola. Viola, meanwhile, has fallen in love with her master, Orsino, who is seriously con- cerned when he fi nds himself attracted to her even though he thinks she is the boy Cesa- rio. Add a drunken uncle and a guitar-playing jester, both with a penchant for practical jokes, a returned brother who arrives with pirates and you have Homegrown’s summer Shakespeare. The director is Linda Baker, e-mail: ljb_jbs@ msn.com The Guys (cast of two) by Anne Nelson is a story set right after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks when everyone in New York is still in shock. Joan, an editor, receives a call from Nick, a fi re captain who has lost most of his men in the attack. He wants to enlist Joan’s help to write the eulogies he must deliver at the memorial services. As they meet to discuss this project, they discover many different angles of humanity and an appreciation for the roles people play in each other’s lives.
