PAGE A12, KEIZERTIMES, OCTOBER 30, 2015 SOCCER, continued from Page A8 Even a cursory glance at statistics from the past two seasons reveals just how much the team improved. In 2014, the Celts allowed 55 goals and scored just 14. This year, the team netted 32 and allowed only 30. “Our two primary goals this season were to compete in every game, and score more goals on opponents than they scored on us. As a coach I am extremely proud of this team and how they competed this year. The future is extremely bright,” Nash said. Contributions also came from up and down the roster. Sophomore Jessy Shore led the team with 10 goals and three assists; Kayla Evans had four goals and two assists; Mi- chaela Sanchez had four goals and an assist; Natalia Gonzalez had three goals; Kelli Miller, Kolbie Kopp and Cadland had two goals each; Katy Wy- att, Janie Jarmin, Munguia, Is- abella Heath and Abby Smith all had one goal each; and Abi Rodriguez and Abby Hawley both had an assist. Freshman goalkeeper Sydney Snapp also played a large part in limiting the goals scored by opposing teams. police scanner MONDAY, OCTOBER 19 • 2:52 p.m. - Forgery on 5000 block Allendale Way NE. • 3:28 p.m. - Theft on 1300 block Meadowlark Dr NE. • 10:37 p.m. - Arrest for unlaw- ful possession of marijuana 1900 block Chemawa Road N. They’ll be a good varsity team in three years,” South started quick in the fi rst quarter with a seven-yard run and two-point conversion for an 8-0 fi rst quarter lead. In the second quarter south scored on a 20- yard pass and an 11-yard run to extend its lead to 20-0. McNary drove late in the quarter on some nice runs by Chantz Revis and the passing combination of David Allen to Griffi n Oliveira to the South 30-yard line. South then inter- cepted a pass and ran it back 68 yards for a touchdown and a 28-0 lead at the half. After the half, South scored on a seven-yard run to make it 36-0. The young Celtics contin- ued to battle and managed to get an eight-yard touchdown run from Tate Parr. Parr also ran in the two-point conversion for the fi nal score. McNary’s offense was led once again by Re- vis with 82 hard-fought rushing yards. Nigel Harris added 40 yards and Noah Bach had 29. Allen added 56 yards passing, with 47 going to Oliveira on three catches. Defensively, Bo Working led with eight tackles. Robert Benson added six and Harris was credited with fi ve. Oliveira, Brent Preston and Devyn Schurr recorded four tackles each. Quarterback and defensive back coach George Carter gave credit to Harris for a good game. “Nigel had his best game of the season,” Carter said. “He ran the ball well, completed two passes at quarterback, caught four balls at receiver and played exceptionally well at cor- nerback on defense. We look forward to big production from him in the future.” Submitted by Ted Anagnos 503.393.2875 remodelkeizer.com CCB#155626 2015 POLK COUNT Y Holiday Fair Fri, Nov 6 – Sat, Nov 7 AT THE FAIRGROUNDS IN RICKREALL 9am to 5pm NO ADMISSION FEE • SILVER OFFERING • PROCEEDS BENEFIT 4-H SHORT ORDER FOODS AVAILABLE • HOLIDAY DEMOS • 130 VENDORS!
