SEPTEMBER 2015, MCNARY FALL SPORTS PREVIEW, PAGE 19 (Continued from Page 18) KEIZERTIMES/Eric A. Howald Members of the McNary High School soccer program square off during Blue Day. Other players returning after making signifi cant contributions last season include: Michael Reyes, Jorge Garcia, Bryan Keo, Jose Vazquez and Luis Audelo. Camarena was also excited about the prospects of freshman goalkeeper Sebastian Lopez. “The main thing for them now is work- ing on new systems of play, which is pos- sible because of the high quality of the play- ers,” Camarena said. While offense and defense are going to be key to winning individual games, both Villalvazo and Reyes said it was something else that made their miracle season possible. “All the games we won last year was because we played with heart, and I want to show the new players how to play with heart,” Villalvazo said. “It’s our job to keep the players motivat- ed because if there is no morale there is no heart to play with. If we start really strong, I think we can fi nish strong,” Reyes added.
