The board of directors of the Keizer Heritage Foun- dation honored outgoing building manager Al Rasmus and retired event coordina- tor Anne Rasmus at a recep- tion on Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Keizer Heritage Center. Long-time board member Jim Hupy related the his- tory of the Rasmuses volun- teer work on the old Keizer School for the past 16 years. Both were presented a cer- tifi cate. Al Rasmus managed the Keizer Heritage Center’s lo- gistical and technical needs since 1999. He has served as a member and president of the board and other offi ces. He will remain on the board and help the board’s treasurer with fi nancial issues. Anne Rasmus oversaw op- erations in the center’s event room used by the public for social events and meet- ings. She also volunteered to maintain the building and its grounds. JoAnne Beilke, a former board president and current board treasurer, has taken over the building management duties as well as those of the event coordinator. births • Maximo Huerta Loya was born on January 12, 2015 at Silverton Hospital.
