Heltzcl of this city died laat Tuesday of pneumonia after an ill* near of only three dnya. Mra. Ifcltxcl waa tuken ill auddenly Saturday after noon and her comiition although serious waa not deemed shinning until Mon day. Dr. II. A. lieauehainp attending phyaieian then culled Dr. W. II. Morae of Salem in eonaultation. Realizing her condition, everything poaalble to medical akill waa reaorted Co by her phyaiciana and thoae attend ing her. She aeemed to be improving Tueaday morning and condition* were more favorable for her recovery, how ever, ahe waa unable to wilhatand the attack, a n d pa**cd awuy a t ll:2t o’clock Tuesday night, Mra. Ileltzcl waa born at Bristow, Iowa, Sept. 12, 1887. She moved to Oregon with her parerita in 1900. Af ter her high achool course ahe studied music at Willamette University where ahe met Mr. Ilcltzel. The friendship culminated in marriage ut the home of her parents in Cortland, Oregon, on Christmas Eve 15*11. They came at once to Stayton where Mr. Ilcltzel waa practicing law, and have since resided here. She was a member of tho Methodist Episcopal church since a child and took an active part in Sunday school and Epworth league work. She waa a good musirian and had a sweet voice. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and took pleasure in her home life. She leaves surviving her. her husband and little boy two years old. Mar father F. K. Spalding, her mother Nellie M. Spalding, and younger broth er F. Merrick Spalding now residing at Sunnyside, Wash., an older brother Hurry K. Spalding, all of whom were here and attended the funeral service*.
