the tailoring man to do, and a man
willing to work need not remain idle.
The eo>t of living in Stayton is ex
tremely low compared to that of east
ern towns. One big saving here is the
matter of fuel. Slab-wood can I hi se
cured at the saw-mill for 25 cents for
nil that can he loaded on a wagon.
If one wants cheaper wood he can
gather drift-wood from the river bank.
In the matter of shoes, clothing, groc

Stayton has good walks, good streets
