CITY PICTURE SHOWS You are prejudiced, so why not let other people enjoy their prejudices, also? The Norwegian Diet recently pass ed a law providing that the licenses of all motion picture theaters in Nor way shall expire in 1915. The cities may then renew the licenses or ertab ish municipal picture shows. Many of the cities propose to show educa tional films in municipalized theaters. Thinking as they do, perhaps the sur plus ea mines of the theaters will in crease the city revenues. The propri etors of the motion picture houses will lose their businesses without com pensation, athough some of the cities are extending the time for cancelling the licenses until 1918. PRACTICAL PROHIBITIONISTS (Heppner Gazette) We have some practical prohibi tionists around Heppner; they seem to be trying to drink up all the booze and no doubt they would succeed were it not for the fellow on the other end of the line who manages to keep the supply up to the demand. The sentiment for preparedness in this country is growing, and it is a great thing, if war is to be wished n this land of the free. But don't fool yourself into the notion that pre paredness will prevent war. A doe has a good many more fights than the rabbit. In "Made America" Is the Slogan of TODAY .TVfADE IN AMERICA" that's the slogan, 11 and it is sweeping the country. Every body wants American made goods. Every piece of furniture in our store is made in America by American workmen and from American mater ials, and with the well known American thor oughness. That is why the M. F. has the repu tation of being the most attractive department store in Malheur County. We are paying for this space for the sole purpose of impressing upon your mind the fact that there is not another store in this section that can give you better values for your money than we do. We doubt if any can do as well. We must depend upon many sales, because our profits are small so very small, in fact, that without a great volume of business we couldn't possibly make them. Every dollar spent in the M F helps to keep prices in Vale down. It is to your own interest to trade here. You get your money's worth. Just remember this, friends we want your business, and are making the pricesto get it. THE MALHEUR FORWARDING CO.
