Taut and Hoffman, who constructed the monu ment of iron at the architectural exhi bition at Leipzig this year, will also ex hibit at the exhibition of arts, industry and handicraft which it to be held in Cologne in 1914. The monument refer red to was constructed of iron, glass only being used to connect the T girders. At the Cologne exhibition a house will be shown which, with the exception of the framework will be composed en tirely of glass. The glass will vary very considerably in formation and col oring, aud the experiment la looked for ward to with the greatest interest, both by people connected with the glass trade and also by architects.
