Rmtrtcan fiantr Mary Jane Robertson was bom on the homestead place a few miles from Turner 43 years ago, and passe») away at the Astoria hospital Tuesday morn ing, October 4, following a serious op eration. The deceased had been in ill health for nearly six months, but was getting along nicely and her love»l ones had hope* o f her complete recovery until about three weeks ago when she was taken to the Astoria hospital and an operation revealed an internal cancer which caused her death. She received her early education in the Turner schools and spent her girlhood days there. At the age o f 23 years she was unite») in marriage at Salem, Oregon, to Neals Olson, and to this union two sons were born, Del bert and Archie Olson. Mrs. Olson was a loving w ife and mother, and » faithful Christian. During her life she made many de voted friends, who with her loved ones deeply grieve her departure. Funeral services were held here at the Turner Christian church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Reverend Clay, pastor o f the Christian church, conducted the services, with Rijrdon Funeral Parlors in charge. Pall bearers were James Bones, M. T. Mil ler, A. I . Bones, E. E. Ball, J. Shif feror anil Stanley Riches. Surviving are her widower, Neal Olson o f Astoria, two sons, Delbert and Archie o f Astoria, her father and step-mother. Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Robertson o f Turner, three sisters, Mrs. M. A. Nicely o f Portland, Mrs. Annie Ashfonl of Jefferson, and Mrs. I,ena Cameron o f Milwaukie, and two brothers, Arthur E. Robertson o f Tur ner and Herman Rib»-rtson o f Salem besides a large number o f relatives nnd frienils. F. A. Robertson, proprietor o f the Sheridan Mystery Springs, is spend ing several »lays in Turner and reports that teh development work on the Sheridan Mystery Springs is progres sing nicely. The entire building is heated by flash plate boilers. The steam for the baths is generated by a spray o f mineral water in a five foot steam dome falling on hot boulders.
