The Judges agreed in naming twenty-three successful men. He then had the en tire undergraduate records o f these Wen accurately copied from the col- j lege record* and compared with the I standing o f twenty-three men chorrn | at random from the same class. The result was striking. The men who were thus named as most success ful attained in their college studies nearly four times as many highest grades as the random selection.
