has a separate building especially a d a p t­
ed for the purpose and the facilities of
Chem aw a in this line are equaled
by
only one other school in the Service.

instruction covers the branches tau g h t
in G ram m ar schools of the country.
The school was established by M ajor
W ilkinson, F eb ru ary 25, 1880, being the
second oldest N on-reservation school in
the U nited States. From a sm all school
of tw enty-five children it ha« grown step
ov step from year to year.
Last year
was trie most nrosperous in its history.
