2 THE CHEMAWA AMERICAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE The Colleges of the Willamette Valley have formed a basketball league and the first game was played at Chemawa last Saturday evening when Dallas College lined up against the Indians and de feated them by the score of 68 to 7. The Indian boys were outclassed and showed utter lack of practice. The game was sprung on them. Lat-rin ihe -eaeon they will make a better showing. All league games will be played un der A. A. WASHINGTON, Dec 4 Chief Kock boy and his band of 125 Chippe a braves are now officially at home in their new hunting-grounds on the Blackfeet Reser vation in Montana and 1,300,000 acres in Valley County of that state which were withdrawn tc make a home for the Indians have been reopened to settlement. Some of the white settlers protested and the department became convinced the Red men would do better in a land where they could hui.t and fish. On Novem ber 1, Superintendent Logan of the Fort Belknap Indian School w. s instructed to find a new place for Rockboy and within two weeks he had them all on a special train speeding for the new hunting-grounds on the Blackfeet Reservation.
