MONTHLY ENTERTAINMENT.
The regular monthly entertainment
which was given in the chapel last week
by the various school grades was one of
the best given this year, if not the best.
It was certainly enjoyable in every sense
of the wrord and creditable to both teach
ers and pupils. Following is the pro

DILLST ROM-EVANS.
A pretty wedding was solemnized.
Monday evening, May 10, 1909, in Che
ma wa's spacious new gymnasium; .Miss
May Evans and Mr. Henry Dillstrom
being united in holy matrimony by Rev.
Davis Errett of Salem, Oregon, in the
presence of relatives and a host of friends
of the bride and groom. The beautiful
and impressive ring service was used.
The bride was charming in her gown
of simple white, with wreath of bridal
roses, and carried an immense shower
bouquet of carnations. The groom was
attired in. conventional black. Miss
Belle Dillstrom was bridesmaid and Mr.
Ernest Brewer acted as best man.
The large rostrum was artistically dec
orated with white tulle, with a beautiful
background of white lilacs arranged with
a profusion of other flowers. The large
wedding bell was of Lillies of the Valley
and smilax and was suspended with
large streamers of white ribbon. .
After the ceremony a brief reception
followed, during which sincere congratu-.
lations were' showered upon the young
couple. A most delicious wedding luifch
eon was served to relatives and friends
of the bride and groom. The young
people left on the 8:55 p. m. car, amid a
deluge of goud wishes, rice and old shoes, .
for Portland to spend a brief honeymoon.
The newly married couple were both
former pupils of Chemawa and are a
credit to the school. Mr. Dilltrom was
a graduate of the Class of '07 and at
present is manager- of the Chemawa
Dairy of which M. W. Cooper is pro
prietor The American adds its good
wishes. ,
