Mr, and Mrs. Mann went to Portland, Monday, on business. Mr. Campbell spent Saturday night with friends in Salem. Mrs. Bullard treated the nurse girls to taffy Sunday evening. Who Scrubbed the auditorium floor for the Valentine party? Henry Dillstrom made a flying trip to Salem, Monday nvening. We have a fine picture of Abraham Lincoln in the chapal now. Joe Dillstrom did some fine card paint ing for the Valentine party. We didn't see the Junior colors at the Valentine party. Why not? The school line has been very poor this week. Officers, attention! Mrs. Teabo treated her kitchen girls with. candy Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Brewer went to Tacoma last Sat urday to attend to some business affairs. Andrew and Len Cave from MoMinn ville arrived last week to attend school. What WfcS the social event of the peapon? The Senior-Junior party, of course. Who said that the president of the Benior ('lass looked very handsome at thp party? Reuht-n Saunders was a visitor from Tacoma, Sunday. After a short stay he returned to Tacoma. Mena, Thomas and Valentine Red dell returned to school last week after spending a few months at home. Miss Troutman is very kind about lending her plants for the purpose of decorating the chapel. We- all appre ciate her generosity. The Senior and Junior classes desire to thank Miss Irene Campbell and Miss Noble for the delicious sandwiches which they made for the party. Miss Leader, the new teacher, is teach ing the 2nd grade. Margaret Lowry and Belle Dillstrom are teaching the young est children part of Miss DohseV class. Who is it plays the violin so well in McBride Hall? We thought it was Mr. Turney until we saw him walking to wards McBride Hall while the music was going on. In a letter to the, American we see that our Miss Patrick is now Mrs. Lil lian Patrick Black. Her present address is Port Gibson', Mississippi. Her many friends at' Chemawa wish her much happiness. The athletic "dope" sent out by the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific-Exposition to date is nothing but boosting the University of Washington. We have nothing against the University of Washington, but we suggest, if success is what they are after, that is hardly the way to secure it. After a while it nauseates.
