    6 THE CHEMA
SOCIET I E S
Y. W. C. A.
The members of the Y. W. C. A. held
their regular meeting last Wednesday
evening. The roll was called to which
members responded with Bible verses.
A song was sung, entitled "Calvary,"
and the minutes of the previous meeting
were read. The members of the Y. M.
C. A wished to spend the evening with
us and they were cordially welcomed
to do so. Miss Ella Brewer then led
in prayer. There was no special leader
appointed to lead so it was called a
raily meeting. The president called
for volunteers to say a few words. They
had a season of prayer and the business
was transacted. Then we sang our
closing song, "Blessed Be the Tie that
Binds." We then repeated Our watch
word and adjourned.
Nonpareil.
The Nonpareils met in their usual
place or meeting last Thursday evening.
The house was called to order by the
president, after which the roll was call
ed. The minutes of previous meeting
were read and stood approved. New
and old business was called for and
settled, which took so much time that
the program, with the exception of the
opening address and the phonograph
concert, was dropped. . We then had
some remarks from our7 critic, after
which . we adjourned.
