THE CHKM.AWA AMERICAN' 3 Caroline Wright is now a dining hall sergeant, Walter Haight is getting to be a good carpenter. L jiusa Moss was glad to meet some of her friends in Chemawa, Hartley Williams says he likes, to work at Mr, Larsen's office. Mr. Campbell brought ten pupils from Montana Tuesday morning. The blacksmiths are now putting in the new track for , the engineers. Carl Cook says he is learning a great deal since h came to Chemawa, We are all looking forth to the enter tainment to be given by the Sixth Grade, Maggie Curl is now working in the laundry and she says she likes her work, George Foster is one of Mr. Westley's best workers. He does his work neatly, The third grade is improving very mneh in their reading and number work, Martha Andy is now working in the dining hall, and she doea her work very nicely. Laura Harnden received a very pretty birthday present from a friend in Wash ington. George Goss is working in the harness shop anti he says he is going to stay with it. Mike Olsemshot a snipe about fifty yards away from the barn yesterday afternoon.. .... : - - Alfred Lane and Arthur Bell repaired the pipes at McBride Hall which had been leaking, Adella Payne is studying hard to make the seventh grade, We all hope for her success. Gussie Cameron was transferred from the small girls' home to McBride Hall on Saturday, Louise and Emily Moss, two of the girls who came from Montana, are stay ing at McBride Hal, We are glad to see children coming to Chemawa every month from different parts of the United States. Joe Carrasco is now working in the engineering department. He is a good worker and likes the trade. If any one needs his hair cut, just ask William Lalashutei He will give you the neatest trim you ever had, Hazel Picard is doing some good work in McBride Hall, If she keeps it up she will make a good housekeeper. Louis Tonner went over to the mid-die-sized boys' hall last night. H? says he likea to stay in the middle-sized boys', hall. Christine Victor is working in the sew ing room, and she says that she likes her work because Miss Brown is. ...good to her.
