The gardeners are very busy sorting over the potatoes, Eugene Anderson is a good worker at the power house. Ernest David is one of our best read, ers in the third grade, We are glad to see go many new pu pils coming to Chemawa, The boys and girls had p very nice time on the lawn with snow balls, The boys and girls in the third grade are having long division this week, Miss Royer went to town the other day and got a story book for the third grade, The dressmakers are preparing for their party which will be given this evening, Minnie Picard is now working for Mrs, Campbell and she gays she likes the work, ' Virginia Garry is one of Mrs Theisms floor girls for this term and she likes it very well, Edward Stensgar is working on the farm and he says that it beats the har ness shop, Bessie Lahr and Lizzie Martin made gome very nice cookies in the Domes tic Science class last Monday. We were glad to ee two robins hop ping on-the lawns this morning for we know it is the sign of spring, We have now two new boyg working in the bakery Their names are An- toine Valley and Leo Barnaby. Last Tuesday the girls were al! reseated in the diningroom as they are on the roll-call, We were all glad to see it snow, especially Emma Shepard, She was the first one to make a snow-man, Mr, Westley and his force of boys are sorting over all the potatoes so that we may have better ones in the future, Mattie Zimmerman, Bessie Williams and Lela Wilson are taking violin les sons. They have joined the mandolin club, Gertrude Kettlewood, Margaret Lowry and Myrtle Berner are now working in the hospital and intend to take nurse training, The pupils of the 8th grade thank Miss Noble for the nice sandwiches she made last Friday for the party, Laura Harnden made some very nice biscuits last week in the Domestice Science department when she worked there, The girls who are members of the instrument club, are glad to see Lena Ashue return to school again; she is an old member of the club, The pupils of the eighth grade ooiv grauilate Orin 0, French for his ever ready hand last Friday ' evening, He was of the greatest help and always willing to do his partj and some other fellow's part, too, We Coeur de A'Lenes were very glad when we heard that Mr. Chas, 0. W or ley, our superintendent, was on his way to Washington, D, 0., and stating that when he gets back he is coming, here on a visit to see how his boys and girls are getting along,
