the Conference faculty. Again the bell
rang for the Institutes which consisted
of Foreign : and Home Missions. From
9:45" a. . to 10:30 theStudent and
City Associations Conference are held.
Here all problems of the Associations
are thoroughly discussed. From 10:30
to 10:45 a. M. we have recess and Mr.
Grilly of Portland conducts the calisthe
nics. Many were out playing ball, put
ting shot, hot hand, etc. From 10:45
until dinner time we had platform ad

very interesting to tell the events of

the life work . meeting. Monday after
noon the Conference Athletic Committee'
announced that we could go to the
stranded ship and so 'quite a bunch of
us went and were all charged 10 cents
to go aboard. While on board we went
all throng l and even elhnbeo the masts.
luesdny afternoon a game of baseball
was played between the Conference fa
culty juid the W t stern Washington
nine. .'; .be faculty' being defeated' On
Wednesday another g.une of !a,.-ball
.was played between the Inland Kmpiie
and the Willamette1 Valley delegation.
Willamette , Valley was defeated. On
i huixlay a ternoon another game was
played which was for the championship
of the conference, Western Washington
and the Inland Empire; the Inland. Em
pire tram took the championship. After
supper about one halt" hour was devoted
to the meetings of each delegation. The
Willamette delegation and Chemawa
held theirs together. Nearly an hour
was devoted, to the meetings of Personal
or Life work groups.
At 7:30 p. m. the Life Work meetings
were held every evening and we had
the pleasure of listening to the above
named gentlemen. At 9:30 p. m: was
the retiring hour.
