I THE CHEMAWA AMERICAN etics Chemawa baseball team will play the C. A A. C. at The Dalles May 30. June 8th there will be a field-meet between Chemawa and the Portland Y. M. C. A. They want to defeat the Chemawa boys so bad that tbey are going to pay there, own way. The tirst of June is the day of the held meet ' between Chemawa and Mc Minnville. So 1 at lis get busy and get in to shape for that day, and- the others get their throats ready to cheer us. Tne Wuite House boys came out vic torious at the tield-meet yesieroay by the score of 78 to oO. The Chemawa'track team was organ ized and now we' will get to training for the tracR and Held meet with the dii ferent colleges. An interesting held meet was ht Id here last Monday between Mitchell Hall and White llouse. The latter won the most points. Last Saturday the second team de feated Wood burn'. second team by a score of 11 to 1. We were pleased to see our baseball team defeat the Salem High School by a score of 2 to 1. Last Monday Calvin Darnell broke the school record in pole vaulting. The Chemawa sect nd team won a game on Saturday. The game was one sided from start to finish. The game was called at the end of the sixth inning on account of rain. Final tcore 11 to 1 in favor of Chemawa. E. J. Williams is out training faithful ly for the mile run ; he says he expects to make the track team this season.
