Ignatius Bart can make .fine hacka mores and riding whips .in the harness shop, - Mr, Mudge and the oarpenters ar fit ting a door at the north end of the horse barn. J. S. The plumbers are very . busy repairing bursted pipes around different parts of the grounds, Henry .Nelson has started ironing off a wagon tongue which he is fitting .up "in first .class; shape, The tailors are glad beoause they ,wiil Foon be through making union suits for the hoys. M, W. . The blacksmith boys arejgoodall.round workers, every time something comes in they are called for. Orin French has done some neat work in the blaoksmith shop ginee he returned from his home, M, 0. Johnny, and Alice deer had new ool lara put on-them. whioh wore made in the harness shop. W, M. The farmers are now hauling logs from Old Chemawa, with which they intend to make a wagon shed. F. L. H. Mr. Mann is becoming a good plumber since the cold weather, he is also doing some fine steam fitting for Mr. Woods. AMERICAN -3 .Frank J. Juaquin Meadows helped him. .Frank Sorahan was called to teach school and he made it all right so you see the blaoksmiths are good where ever you put them. The engineers and the plumbers are about -the most industrious people in Chemawa, J-et's see if the other Depart ments can be just as busy Gt B, H, The sewing room girls are busy - mak ing apron check dresses for the McBride Hall girls, They are also making uni forms for the second company of small girls. ;A. H, Ignatius Bart. made, a fine quirt in the harness shop last week and is now mak ing .an ; extra ;heavy. sot. of harness. Ig natius is a fine harness maker though he hasn't been here .very .ling. R. E, We, the student body of Chemawa, ought to .form a .munioipal government and have mook town meetings to preserve perfeot order, and to learn how to per form the duties of town munioipal offi cers.. Many of the schools have not as yet attempted to oonduot such affairs, but since "Civil Government" suggests that it would be very praotioal for stu dents to have weekly town meetings, the American would like to see Chemawa (C, I. S.) incorporated and its munici pal affairs transacted and controlled by the students, Many of us are from towns and in tend to return to towns where we may have largo interests, and therefore should have a thorough understanding of thy management of town affairs. Before posting a '"V A!' ant for calling the Annual Town M sting," we can appoint temporary constable to post the warrant, town clerk to call the meeting to order, and preside until a moderat or.be, elected Webster H. Hudson. .
