Dixon, Montana, Monday.'
Fine days at Chemawa, and many
roses at the "rose avenue."
We all enjoyed Rev. Eels talk in the
chapel last Sunday afternoon. -
The second team will play the Tribunes
a return game Saturday the 23rd at
Dallas.
Miss Hutchinson has a very pretty
cream colored dress, we are all anxious
to see it on her.
Mrs. Theisz is the best checker player
in McBride Hall. It is fun to see her
play and beat her daughters.
Maude Hamilton who has been a pu
pil of this shbol for a number of years
left for her home in Alaska Sunday.
Addie. Cameron and Margaret Lowry
are back in McBride Hall again after
staying at the small girls' home for a
week.
Last Saturday evening Miss Heroic!
gave a party at the hospital for Edith
Milne who left on Sunday for her home
in Alaska; , '
Mm Eiiima Miller was here from her
home at Rennet, Cal. ..She visited her
nephew; -Johnny, Miller; and., daughter

Miss Eva Woods is home on her va
cation and is enjoying Tennis playing'
with Miss Irene '-Campbell on their

The Italian, laborers have been putting
in thi-new rails at Che n-iwa. They 'are
a jolly crowd, and lik to hear the Che-' '
mawa band play.'
Clarence Cooper, having' completed
his school year in Salem, is on a camp
ing trip near Turner -with" the Junior Y.
M. C. A-. of Salem. ......
The class finished the Standard Arith
metic, required to finish' the course of
this school, and are now working practi
cally outside of the book.
Mr. Campbell writes that he has been
in an earthquake in California. Xo
damage done although things were con
siderably shaken up.
Myrtle Johnson, one of the most pro
mising pupils of the sev Mitii grade, left
for her home at South Bend, Wash.
Monday for her vacation: She is missed,
by her many' friends at Chemawa.
Rev. Edwin Eells, of Union, Washing
ton, an old friend of the school paid us a
visit Sunday returning Monday.' Sun
day afternoon" he gave us a talk on "Suc
cess in life," which was very interesting.
While going up to Salem. -last. Friday,
we all thought Miss Jones wouldget left
so we began to inquire where she was,
going to sit. Never leave Miss Jones
behind or vou will miss lots of fun if vou
do.
Mr. Forbes' talk on Daniel . and his
three friends, last Sunday night; was
especially fine. He. showed how any
one who stood bravely for the right in
spite of what others. said or thought, will
be like Daniel. , . ..-
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell received the
wedding announcement of Mr. Cnauncey
Y. Robe and Miss Lillie Springer of
Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Robe was 'at
one time a pupil at Carlisle and is one"
of the. prominent influential and pro- i
grersive Indians in the United States.
His many friends ' wish" him and his
bride unbounded success and happiness.
