That they have more' funds this year than ever. That a picnic will be given on Easter Sunday. That the members are pleased with the new library. That a song of "Maggie Dear" was on the program last meeting. That a two-step march was played last meeting by a clarinet f-olo. That several of the boys would like to attend the Y. M. C. A. convention to be held in Portland, Oregon. The Y; M. C. A. held asocial meeting last Wednesday evening, in their usual meeting place. A very interesting pro gram was rendered and was as follows: Song, "My Country 'tis of thee," Associa tion; Recitation, "Crises" Webster Hud son; Vocal solo, "Where the Sunset turns the Ocean Blue to Gold." Martin Samp son; Clarinet solo, Carl Geffe; Vocal solo "You're as Welcome as the Flowers in May," Arthur Tyler. After the above program was rendered the meeting was devoted to business. And after our almighty President, John Benson, gave a short and pleasing address in regard to the next meeting, we closed the meeting by singing, "God Be with you till we meet again," And then we ad journed. All the members being present and enjoyed the pleasant evening indeed. Carlisle Has Flowers Also A visit to our greenhouse would indi cate that our florist and his boys have not been idle during the winter months. The house was not finished until , Octo ber, but since then there has sprung up -almost as if by 'magic over. BOO') plants of different kinds. There are about 8000 geraniums, hundreds of them being in bloom. .2000 colus golden and red, cinesasia in all its different shades, heliotrope, daisies, carnations, migno nette, candytuft, etc., all blooming nice ly. The foliage department has excel lent start. Here are fine ferns, begonias, large' and small palms, lilies, etc. Be side? all these are several thousand slips of California privet for hedges. -Arrow.
