Not only was a college education before this last mentioned one, but a profes sion later, if he prepared for it. "If only I had his chance!" again mur mured the one left, as he made his way over the green sod back to the farm. And how many a boy has said this sadly or bitterly, according to his , temperament, when he contrasted his own lot with that of another. , Let us say to you boys who feel you have been obliged to leave school earlier than was best on account of burdens to be born, if your life seems cramped with regard to college educa tion, make it broad with regards to other education. You cannot win another's opportunity by wishing for it, but you can see that you use your own opportunity to the very best. The thing of chief importance in life is to realize that wherever . we are placed, we can do good work. And it is the good workers the world has need of, be they in the country or in the citv.
