Local Sorority is now Nu Chapter of
Gamma Phi Beta, a Conservative
Organization
' M interest in society circles is the
advent of the first national sorority
I into the U niversity. Gamma Phi Beta
is the sorority. It has granted a ch ar­
ter to the 1 an Pi, a local sorority
which has been in existence sonic four
| or five years. Its m em bers have al­
ways been prom inent in U niversity
student life, both socially and politi­
cally. Last year the Tau Pi moved in­
to a beautiful new home on T h irteen th
and Alder S treets which it now occu­
pies.
,'lic sorority will in future he
known as Xu C hapter of G am m a Phi
Beta. Gam m a Phi Beta is one of the
largest, oldest and most conservative
of women's secret college societies. It
grants chapters only after the fullest
investigation and for good reason.
